Would you like to witness spectacular Nepalese cultural dances? Expert Nepalese Dance Competition 2019, a biennial event being organised in Brisbane since 2009, provides you a rare opportunity. Excellent Nepalese dance performers from different corners of Australia and New Zealand, who have been selected through an audition, will be gathering in Brisbane to show their talent and compete for the titles in single, duet and group dance categories.
This two-day event will have two rounds of competition. Preliminary round of competition will be held on Day 1, where more than 50 contestants from different cities in Australia and New Zealand will perform single, duet and group Nepalese dances. Based on their performance, best 5 contestants or groups will be selected for their performance in the final round (Day 2). Final round performances will be theme based focusing on Nepalese traditional and cultural dances. You will have an opportunity to witness dances such as Kauda, Tappa, Maruni and Jhyaure, and some very attractive ethnic dances. In addition to the performances by the contestants of the competition, there will be highly entertaining dance performances by guest artists. The event is being organised by Nepalese Association of Queensland Inc. in association with Non-Resident Nepali Association, Australia.
